ahh, home sweet home!

well i've been to Wyoming this last week then to Nevada for a family reunion. and I had the trap set wile I was in Nevada but no animal were caught. not a surprize, i didn't bait them. but this week i'll start again. the garden is growing good and so the idea of someday harvesting it is driving me a little harder to catch those little critters.

Wyoming

Monday after Lunch I was asked to go to Wyoming with the Engineer so Mary took the traps down to mow the lawn and she didn't want to deal with a raccoon in the trap so they didn't get set back up. so not much has happened this week that I know of. But the lawn looks great!

Traps

So now Mary and I have a problem...we figure that if we want to harvest our garden and reap the benifits of it we must surcure it from the night raiders. I've decided that live traps would be a good idea to place so that if I catch any cats or dogs I could relise them and not kill them ( I want cats around, they eat bugs and mice). well goign on week three I have cought the back cat twice (the first time with out any bait) and an yellow cat twice and a orange cat once(he was nice he waited clamy untell I got the door open, then ran).

I have had the raccons in the trap twice but they are strong enough to bend the top side and bend it so much that the spring's rest is move and releaseing the spring on the gate and letting the trap door open freely and thus letting the coons out. I stuck a metal bar through there beefing it up a little but I also stuck the trap in a garbage can and put a wood frame around it and pushed the back of the can up to my garage and driving two stakes to stop it from moving but the trap can be pulled out freely. but I haven't cought anything as of yet.

When Mary and I left to go to Krupp's baby blessing and fathers day dinner at my folks house. we knoticed a black dog inthe neighborhhood and when we got home we found the trap had been removed with out it being tripped closed. and the bait all over the grass and dog prints in hte garden area. I figure the dog removed it. so when I put the trap back inside. I staked the trap to.

My Friend Adam told me to make this, so over time I hope to make this accurate and true!
